best of luck je3625. I can see how it could get very confusing mix and matching AA and TSM . I m glad you ve got to a better place in yourself anyway . Hope is everything !

First week back on TSM completed, total success. 6 drinks total for the week, 4 days with none at all. It's amazing how effective the Nal can be when the golden rule is followed and one tries to practice the "mindful drinking" technique that people seem to be talking about now.

Awesome JE! I am trying the mindful drinking approach as well. Not as much luck as you but trying nonetheless.

Since starting back with TSM a few weeks ago things have been going very well. The last two weeks have been similar, I've had one or two days where I drank a bit too much (6 or 7 drinks) and felt a little crappy the next day, but all other days have either been AF (about half of the time) or light, just having one or two drinks. Even the days I've had too much, 6 or 7 is still a very, very small amount compared to what I drink if I'm not taking Nal. I also like that most of the days that I drink I have been doing so socially with other people. There has only been one day that I felt the urge to drink by myself, and most days I don't really want to drink anything at all, so that is a change in pattern that I am very happy to see.

I think it has been about 6 weeks since I last updated. For the most part things are still going well, with a few ups and downs. Most weeks I seem to be totaling somewhere between 10 and 20 drinks, which consists of a few AF days, a day or two of light drinking (1-3 drinks) and a day or two of heavier drinking (6 to 8 drinks). On average. I did have one week though where I got too much into the routine of drinking every night, often by myself, and my numbers went up a bit. That's more of my old binge pattern coming back. I DEFINITELY notice that Nal is more effective when I am not in the habit of drinking every day and only use it occasionally. Which is my goal anyways. I would like to get to the point where I am only drinking socially no more than a couple of times a week and not consuming more than a couple of drinks on any occasion. I'm not there yet but I believe it is attainable, so I have to keep working towards that goal.
