Thanks Angel, All41 and Cheeto! The ironic thing is that the amount of AB that I take is so tiny ! I split the pill into 1/4's then split that bit into a smaller piece !! Then scrape some off of that!! LOL My tummy does not like AB but I like that it stops me drinking - I wish I could get that same mind set without it really - but I will give it time......

Cheeto - I am so happy that you might have a buyer! we had someone come and look the other day - they were in here nearly an hour - feedback was a really nice clean house but they haven't decided yet!! I have to just have faith - like taking Nal !!! Ha ha ha

Maggie - a question - does AB have side effects (assuming that you take it and then do not drink?) Does it make you feel different? Does it cause nausea on its on without AL? Newlife

Hi Maggie, I have also taken AB and what it does for me is to make my mind up for me cause I know I cannot drink with it in my system.
I am so happy for you on your closing on the House, have a few drinks and celebrate tomorrow (oops maybe I should not encourage that, lol)
I have a prospective buyer so we will see how that works out today???

Hi there - no the AB does not cause nausea as such - but it does upset my tummy - not badly but makes me feel sort of bloated - enough that I take as little as I can get away with for it to work ! Once I had a sandwich with some Branston pickle in it (has vinegar in that) and I had a full blown reaction - racing heart, red face, real feeling of impending doom - it was quite scary so I would never drink on the AB if that is just what vinegar does ! Apart from that I have never had any other SE's on it!

Hi all - well, another not so good week - I have had 2 AF days but with 1/8 tab of Antabuse - so really my intake is not very good as that is between five days! I was going to go AF again tomorrow but think I am going to try REALLY hard to just have two drinks - REALLY REALLY hard!!! I need to try and cut down and also have an AF day without Antabuse too ..... my aims for this week I think!!!

You are doing really well....I wish I could say I've had an alcohol free day. I feel it will be soon. Keep up your energy and be kind to yourself.

Thanks Tweed - if it wasn't for the AB I do not think I could have an AF day so do not beat yourself up ! I felt so good this morning when I got up that I took 1/8 tab again - and now am regretting it - LOL !!!

You'll likely regret it if you do drink!!! I understand the appeal of absolutely not being able to drink. You've taken it now, and tomorrow you can decide again.
