Every drink I take from now on is one more step to getting my life back. Every drink is one step closer to an AF free day, something I haven’t had in years. I will take the pill. I will drink. Science is on my side. Soon I will be free. I won’t be on here complaining about the loss of how alcohol makes me feel. I just want my life back. I think I have found a way.
EDIT: From reading further into this board and comparing to what I learned in The Cure for Alcoholism, the TSM if for life. I know that once I start, for me to reap the benefits, I can never drink without naltrexone ever again. I don't get to some magical point where years of drinking go away forever. As the book says, if I do, I will revert back to my current state in a few months. Why bother doing this if I am not going to accept the TSM as a whole?
Thanks for the tip Nigelr, HF's posts are well worth reading. This site is a great archive........
Glad to hear things are going well!
