Just curious if others get real fatigued feeling when taking NAL. Especially when dinking on it. For example Friday had 6 beers which is way below what I would normally do - but the next day I was very tired feeling all day. Been on NAL for a month now and the tiredness is going to make it difficult for me to stick with it.

Are you sure it's not a hangover? Lots of people report much worse hangovers on naltrexone.

If it's a hangover, drinking extra water and taking a before-bed Advil might help. Even if you only feel tired instead of dehydrated and headachey, those things can help you sleep better.

Guess it could be a hangover. I just don't have a headache like I would from a hangover. Just not used to having one from a six pack of light beer. When I firsted NAL at half dose - it lessensed the craving, and I drank less (about the asame now), and I felt great the next day. Maybe now that I've been on full dose it is impacting me more. I'll try the water and advil before bed and see if that helps.

thanks

I've had some with no headache. The worst was when I had headache and cotton-mouth and couldn't get back to sleep. The ones with only tiredness were almost pleasant in their own way. :|

Being hydrated helps fend off the headache. Nothing really helps with the tiredness except for sleeping it off, but we can try to support our bodies while they do it.

Of course, that's assuming it even is a hangover. If it's a nal side effect . . . I dunno. Some people say the nal side effects are enough to lead them to choose abstinence over moderate drinking. Of course, we have to finish the extinction process before we really have that option.

Tiredness is one of the side effects that people have, but it usually wears off.

Type tiredness in the search box and quite a lot of threads come up...there might be some useful info in there for you.

"Nalovers" are the worst. I can drink a case of beer and be ok the next day. 4 beers on Nal and I'm out of action.

Exactly. Can be the alchohol alone - I'm thinking it may be causing more dehydration. Next time I'm going to do as suggested take an advil and will have some water maybe gatorade before going to bed.

Exactly, Cant be the alchohol by itself. I'm thinking it is exagerating the dehydration. I'm going to do as suggested earlier and drink some water or maybe even gatorade and take an advil before going to bed and see if that helps.

I get nauseated much more easily on nal. Only seven beers and I'm puking? Only four and I feel a bit queasy? What the heck?

Now that the addiction is being undermined, these consequences can actually affect my future behavior.

Good point - I guess I have a ways to go yet. Trying to figure out way to fix symptoms (fatique) not root cause drinking :D
