Actually, my idea goal is to not drink every day, to have 3 or 4 AF's per week and no more than 2 glasses of wine when I do drink. I've found that I experience distress (mild headache, regret, and even digestive problems) the next day if I have had 3 or more units the night before.
I do not drink during the day, and I avoid keeping alcohol in the house most of the time. I really try to protect myself from the trigger of accessibility and prefer to enjoy a couple of glasses out at dinner. I hope that someday, I can keep wine in the house and not find myself drinking more than 2 units. I've had some successes with that plan. And earlier on TSM, I could find myself taking a long time to finish a second glass when out to dinner. But my real problem--which drives up my averages--is the times (once or twice a week) when I do have 3 or 4, either at home or out.
I'm working on a series (three starting today) of 3 AF's per week and planning to limit my weekly total to 7, which I think is supposed to be the safe amount for women. I'm older and not a large person. And it seems that I just can't handle more, esp. since starting on nal. That's a good thing!
Thanks for your input--I welcome every bit of advice along the way.
