I started out drinking whiskey sours when I was young, but when derided by a friend of mine who's a scotch drinker, I switched to that. Later I graduated to beer, and once I was married, wine. One day one of my assistants at work (from Jamaica) told me about Appleton Estate rum, which she said was the best on the planet. I tried some, and darned if she wasn't right. I started drinking that instead of the Captain Morgan's I'd been swilling.
We went on an austerity kick a few weeks ago so we could attend the Colbert/Stewart rally, so I went and bought some Morgan's thinking it would at least suffice. Wrong. I could hardly stand the taste of the stuff. Dunno if it was the Nal or just my pampered taste buds. My wife wants me to switch to wine to lose a little weight, so I'll probably do that. In short, if it has alcohol in it, I'll drink it - though I won't necessarily enjoy it.
