Thanks all for your kind words. Post-vacation time is going well. Without a problem, I am today AF. And will probably be AF in the next days, too. There is no craving and I am happy to report that I did not buy any wine or other drinks for drinking at home since starting with Nal. It is a long journey, but the results so far are truly great. The lack of craving when I am at home is what I am most happy about. OK - social drinking can be a little more controlled in the future. When this happens, I will probably be cured.

I was able to have 3 AF days this week, however, when I was at a social function I had three small glasses of wine. I took Nal, but it did not really limit my consumption. I would have had more wine if possible that evening. I feel that I am still not totally there when it comes to parties and other social occasion. So now, I am going to change the tactic and be designated driver. In this case, I am very careful not to drink more than one or maximum two small glasses of wine since I know that I am responsible for others.

I feel that drinking socially is still a habit with me. I am not used to be without a glass of wine in the hand. Yes, I do drink water, too, but it is wine that I desire in this situation. I am easily without wine during the week at home. This is great. It completely changed my life. I am now sorting my house, I am more attentive to my kids and I also look better. But when it comes to social occasion, old habits resurface. I wander when that will change.

Thanks, Jaba. I did as suggested. Last night, I had a big social event. I was designated driver. Had one small glass of wine and then left the second in the glass. I had water in my hand all the time. And then I just focused on communication, not on drinking. It worked great. I took Nal and after that one glass I actually lost desire to drink. I mingled and talked with people while holding on to water. I was totally sober at the end of the evening and drove everyone safely home. Being a driver really helped! I might do that often.

I am into my 10th week and changes are radical. These two and the half months in my life have been fantastic. I struggled for so many years to limit my alcohol consumption but always failed. With Nal things are easy. The biggest change has been not drinking at home. I am religious about that! I do not want to have any leftover wine at home after dinner party. Full bottles are OK, but no open bottles. I have more time to spend with my kids, to clean the house, do my work, exercise etc. All in all, being alcohol free has been amazing. My goal is now to have at least 3 AF days per week and then to limit my social drinking. The latter is still slightly a problem. I would like to come to a stage when I have one or maximum two drinks per night when I am out. But that seems rather difficult to achieve at this point.
