Maggie,

Tomorrow is another day, and you will have another af day when you are up to it, plain and simple.

I still love you enough if you didn't have an af day...I love you for the wonderful person you are!

Jaba

Thank you - you made me well up - to quote you 'don't you love being a woman?'

Maggie, I think you are doing great. When I look at your numbers I see so much progress.

Intuitively, I knew that it would not have been good for me to not have a drink yesterday and feel stressed and resentful about it. So, I chose not to overdo it and, in the end, I felt good about it. I am sure you made a good choice, too. As mentioned on my progress thread, isn't being able to have a drink now and then without going crazy what we are after?

Yes Deena - that is exactly what we are after ! I just need to NOT have 4 or 5 when I have a drink ! If I could do that it wouldn't bother me so much - but I cannot seem to stop after that first or second one and continue for 4 or 5 ! So the days I drink I am actually drinking nearly as much as I was pre Nal....

Hugs, Maggie x

I read that also that the 2 hours would be even more helpful. I will have to check out the site. Well, guys I am not posting on my site because nobody seems to comment. That is ok. I do know now what a nalover feels like. i drank more then my new normal and feel very scattered and awful. Don't want to do that tonight.

Thanks Jaba for a possible explanation - and no, the only way I could have an AF day pre Nal was with Antabuse - which really upsets my tummy however small of an amount I take - even the 1/16th of a tab was starting to make me feel ill. YES, I am definitely in this for the long haul and will keep going with it - when I took Topiramate it took me to get to the highest possible dose before it worked so I am thinking my reptilian brain just fights to the bitter end whatever I try - well, it has met it's match with Nal and I will persist !

Meggie - I didn't have any Nal-Overs until fairly recently. Do not go looking for them - they are wicked ! Sorry no-one is posting on your thread- I have not seen your posts or I would have ......

Hugs, Maggie x
