I believe they have an app for smartphones too, so you can relax on the go.

I felt a little different on 75mg for a few days but now feel the same. The drinking pattern is remaining pretty much the same, three to four drinks a night with no alcohol free days. I am going to try for an alcohol free night tonight. I only got five hours sleep last night so I will be tired very early and that should help me stay alcohol free.

Hey Deena,

Once again it sounds like we are in a very similar pattern with TSM. I just posted that I had stopped counting, not being mindful etc but that I want to get back into the habit. But even with those slips, we are both way better off than where we started from. Does it bother me that I have not achieved the same results as others after a year-yes! Does it bother me that I can still get caught up in the moment and drink way more than I should even after taking the pill an hour before -yes. BUT the progress has been real over the past year for both of us - so let us look at this way - the wine glass is half full -not half empty!

Thanks, Newlife and Reboot. No alcohol free night for me last night as friends stopped over. I need non-drinking friends, although they are moderate drinkers and I am always the one looking for the next open bottle of wine, not them. I agree, Reboot, that we are much better off than when we started. I woke up a couple of weeks ago with a very mild hangover and, as upset as I was that I had overindulged, I remembered that I used to wake up feeling like that EVERY SINGLE MORNING! Life is good and I will just keep plugging along. I am still cutting the pills up in case it helps with absorption and taking 75 mg.

Deena - I can feel the 'so fed up with it all' in your voice - and I am sorry. As Reboot says, he doesn't know why he has not achieved the same results that others have in a year - but with me as you know it suddenly happened - literally overnight so it can and will still happen with you! Keep taking the nal - at the 75mg level, at least for a month - I think if it hasn't changed things by then it is not going to - not sure why I think that - did I read it somewhere or is it just what I feel? I don't know - but I would stay at 75 for a while anyway. Hang in there - and yes, look on the bright side - you are way better off than you were initially!

HUGS, Maggie x

D,

So true about the old days - every morning was painful and amazingly we would get up, get ready and go to work, get out and do it all over again! Total insanity! Now the occasional time I do have a hangover I am in dire straights. I am sure that I have saved myself from a at least a hundred bad hangovers in the past year and at least 20 really embarrassing nights! (not a scientific survey!) And that is something to be proud of and happy for. Since we seem to be on a similar track - you can probably say the same for your self.

Although we may not be where we want to be - we have come a long way baby! ;)
