Hi all,

I'm 4 weeks into TSM and my units are down from my pre-TSM levels, and have not yet gone back up. I only had Nal side-effects for the first 2 days, so I don't think the decrease is due to side-effects, but is a real effect of extinction.

Am I being too optimistic to think that I may have a smooth extinction curve? For those of you who had a honeymoon period, when did the units spike back up?

Thanks!

Most people only have "the honeymoon" for a few days or weeks. Four weeks is a long honeymoon and it's possible that your drinking will not go back up. However, that would make you a rare case. There have been a few others who didn't return to pre-TSM levels, but they are a tiny minority. However, maybe you are in it! Either way, TSM will work for you!

Thanks Nick - your presence on this board is so very helpful. Not only because of your success with TSM, but the fact that you stick around and encourage others like me.

Yes, although I haven't "regained control", I am optimistic TSM will work for me. I haven't felt this good in the past 20 years, as I have this month on TSM. Only time will tell, but I don't "feel" like I will have a spike in units. I definitely feel like I may have reached a plateau, but I think I'll work through it. I already see a change in my drinking pattern - instead of 10+ per day every day, I'm seeing a few 10+ unit days mixed in with 2-3 unit days.

Good luck all!
