I have heard a lot about "safe" levels of alcohol. Can anyone tell me exactly what is consider "safe" levels? I weigh about 142 lbs. and 5'5" tall. I would usually drink a bottle of wine in an evening, pretty much every night of the week. On occasion it would be a bottle + another glass. I would consider my tolerance very high. I would say my units per week would be between 30 - 35 on average. What would be my "safe" goal to reach do you think?

This was discussed a lot recently here: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=1966&start=20

The short answer is that no one really knows what "safe levels" are and that the US guidelines are basically pulled out of thin air. I believe the best way to ensure safe levels is by regularly getting your blood levels tested with your doctor to ensure your liver is functioning properly.

Thanks again, Minneapolisnick. I agree that the information about safe levels is all over the place. I will read the information on the link you posted. Appreciate your response.
