It might be a little early, but I just wanted to wish all of you TSMers a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! And if you don't celebrate those holidays, seasonal greetings!

Best wishes for the New Year to everyone. I feel a lot of us are headed for some major breakthroughs thanks to TSM and our desire for self improvement. Having a drinking problem is not fun and you are to be commended for taking steps to do something about it! That's why you are here.

I also realize that the method has varied results. To anyone that is not experiencing the results they expected, don't give up too easily. There is no set time line and it takes longer for some than others. And if it turns out that TSM isn't for you, remember that there are other promising methods to explore with almost certain new medical breakthroughs on the horizon. The most important thing is to never give up and never lose hope.

Merlot

Yes, it's good to remind ourselves that Nal isn't necessarily the be-all and end-all in our quest for moderation. It seems that new drugs and methods come along nearly every month, just as they do for antidepressants, so I believe the future is bright for those wanting to cut down on their consumption. I'll echo Merlot's wish for a happy holiday season, and for continued success for us all. I'm working on a little gift for our group that I'll post later this week. Stay tuned.

Happy holidays to everyone here and best wishes for reaching your goals in the coming year :)

Your posts have been extremely motivating for me so thank you. I have been on TSM for around 9 weeks now and from my current position, it's very easy to forget the subtle progress I have made in that time and how helpful TSM has been in relieving the mental struggle and self-loathing related to drinking (even though to outside appearences my drinking behaviour probably looks much the same as ever!). I feel very positive about making progress in 2011 and wish everyone the best of health and happiness... and not too many holiday hangovers either ;)

Gx

Yes, may the remembrance of the birth of Christ fill you all with joy! My prayers are with all who are struggling, and with the successful too. We've got a new year to look forward to, so be good to yourselves, be careful driving, and don't forget:

Naltrexone + one hour + drink + patience = cure (whatever that means to you)
