I've been taking my Nal for 17 weeks (on drinking days). Lately I've noticed being awakened during the night with painful leg cramps, sometimes in one leg, sometimes in the other. Has anyone noticed this kind of side effect? Otherwise, taking Nal causes me no distress, Perhaps it's not the Nal. Just curious.

I've found that drinking alcohol gives me muscle cramps (over long periods of time) just by itself. Drinking on nal seems the same but doesn't seem to make the problem worse for me. In my case I think it's a vitamin deficiency when I drink. I also get muscle twitches. These go away when I stop drinking and also when I eat more bananas.

Try taking two calcium tablets at bedtime. This is good for you anyway, it can't hurt. I experienced the exact same thing when beginning a low-carb diet and the calcium completely prevents the cramps, so it should work for whatever is bothering you. I've been taking them ever since.
