My wife and I went out to dinner with some friends and I had three pints (after taking my Nal, of course). Back home now, wife's gone to bed, and I'm considering getting into the three Newcastle that are left in the fridge, but feeling somewhat ambivalent about it. What I'm really looking forward to is lighting up some fireworks at midnight. What are the rest of y'all up to?

I'm hanging out w/ m bf in a hotel room by Los Angeles airport, flying home tomorrow morning. We briefly thought about getting some champagne but neither of us really have a taste for it and I lit up the fireworks last night with margaritas & vodka. I can't even begin to think when the last New Year's Eve that I wasn't drinking some sort of alcohol would have been--high school maybe? Feels good, a propitious start to new year, new decade, new chapter of life NOT controlled by AL :D
Happy New Year!

I had a rare afternoon beer, followed by 2.5 glasses of red and a glass of bubbly over 7 hours but spent most of the time playing with my kids and everyone was in bed by 10pm. We're going to play some more today then drive back home well rested and not even a hint of a hangover. What a difference a year makes. Happy New Year everyone!

I made a plan. Bought a high quality HALF bottle of champagne. Had a nice dinner in with DH, watched Live from Lincoln Center Live together. Each of us drank two flutes over the evening. Lovely--no fuss, just nice. And no hangover this morning. Figure we saved $200+ by not going out to the fest at a restaurant nearby-- and saved ourselves from overdrinking. I thank Nal for helping me plan and enjoy this start to a new year.

HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL!
