Today's my birthday, but I like to give presents more than I like to receive them (weird, I know - hence my handle), so here's a spreadsheet my wife the accountant helped me put together that will help me - and hopefully you - keep track of consumption and graph it through the year. The first file is a demo with 30 weeks of sample data; the second is the actual XLS spreadsheet for 2011. If you like it, you're welcome. If not, it's my wife's fault.

I am by no means an Excel guru, so if anyone would like to improve on this thing somehow, please be my guest.

All the best, and have a Merry Freakin' Christmas,

Weird-Oh

Happy Birthday Weird-oh!! What a great idea. I will most certainly be entering my numbers in this spreadsheet, as soon as I have got all my data together. I think the best gift any of us can hope for will be to look at the numbers on the page and see cold hard evidence of our progress with our own eyes... here's hoping!

Cheers :)

Thanks, Gwyneth. It was a relatively impropriety-free birthday for a change, although I did, as usual, drink too much. Well, I drank a six-pack, but that's still too much. Let me know if the spreadsheet works OK for you; it's been tested, but nothing is certain until it gets used a bit. If anyone else here decides to try it, let me know of any problems as well. I'm hoping it'll prompt me to keep a bit better track of my drinking.

Happy belated birthday! A friend of mine from Germany said that is the custom there on birthdays (to give presents). Thanks for sharing the spreadsheet. I'm not very good with excel but I've downloaded it and will play with it now. :D

You're more than welcome, everyone. Please let me know if it's working OK. I included the site where I got the units calculator, and it has UK units as well, so you can plug those in in place of the US ones for those so inclined.
