After work drank a six pack and before I went to bed took Advil PM and once I quit drinking I had water. Slept 10 hours but felt good the next day. Different story from previous weekend where I was drained all weekend.

Due to TSM and NAL, I went from "functional" drinker, hitting 12-18 daily, and having no hangover, to anything over 8, is very noticeable the next day.

My 20 plus years of practice had me to the point of only 1 or 2 hangovers a year, but I'm embarrassed to say how much I consumed on those events. Obviously more than I could count in that state, and usually involved volumes of the hard stuff that was unmeasurable due to free style gulps out of a bottle and/or a squeeze to the plastic handle bottle to squirt the crap into a mixer faster, since I couldn't wait for it to simply pour out.

I think getting used to less volumes consumed on Nal, lowered my tolerance and is letting my hangovers show up closer to what a healthy level drinker would experience when they would accidentally go overboard.

I also believe that there must be some sort of chemical combination amplifying the effect from the Naltrexone.

I think you're right about some type of chem combination. I think it's related to the dehydration. Btw nice progress you've made

Once the addiction is short-circuited, we can begin making use of the same techniques that normal drinkers use -- drinking a cup of water in between alcoholic drinks, for instance. I've been doing this. It's not only a hangover preventative; it's also quite freeing to realize that I now have the option of doing this.

I guess that's what regaining control is all about.
