Hi GM,

Your numbers are enviable to me but I salute your desire to get to ever-healthier drinking levels. I'm doing much better this week but still can push through the Nal and have. 5-6 unit night pretty easily. I'm working on changing my habits as well; I know it's not just the Nal, but may also experiment with going to 75mg as well, just to see if there's a noticeable difference. Thanks for the reminder/suggestion.

I can't remember if the studies or the book addressed to effects/efficacy of a hier dosage. Anyone have any insights?

When you say you are drinking through the 50mg Nal - what exactly does that mean for you?

My 2 cents regarding "Drinking through the Nal"

Sometimes when going overboard and pushing 18 beers, I would not necessarily call that drinking through the Nal. Because I'm not gassed, blacked out, and sometimes stop, when pre-TSM I would go until passout or blackout.

However, a couple of ways I would call "Drinking through the Nal".

1. When starting TSM, my first hour of drinking would be a pint of vodka before beers at home. After Nal, wait 1 hour, guzzle 9 units/pint of vodka in 1 hour, the booze had already got be legally drunk. Drinking would continue as normal.

2. Now, not starting with the heavy vodka jump start, drinking low octane, typically slows me down or stops me with the Nal. However, there are still a few monthly drinking events I have in my life/environment, with the RIGHT people at the RIGHT place, that it occasionally seems like I didn't take the Nal at all. After 3 or 4 or 5, they just keep flowing like the pre-TSM days. These events, maybe 4 or 5 a month, seem to be "Drinking through the Nal." I usually close in on Pre-TSM numbers, 18 plus units.

These are less and less, because the Nal is helping me, somehow, have less urge to attend some of these. Pre-TSM, I lived for these events, and manipulated my families schedule to get as many of these crammed into a weeks time as possible. I now do find myself avoiding more and more of these events. However, some events are unavoidable, not really, but something that would be regretted, due to the potential of healthy social interaction that should be extremely fun and memorable without booze.
