Jimi,

I wasn't keen on keeping a diary either but decided to so I could chart my progress. I have an iPhone and there's a free app called iDrinkulator that tracks weekly alcohol consumption. Pretty easy and painless way to keep track of how much I'm drinking. It also tracks how many calories I'm consuming and how long it would take me to exercise it off.

It's amazing that us alcoholics aren't all obese! There's a lot of calories in booze. xD

I don't have an iPhone and have been looking everywhere on the Web for an Excel spreadsheet I could use to keep track of drinks, but all I've found is stuff for brewmasters or blood alcohol calculators. Anyone know where I could find a spreadsheet that also graphs intake? My wife's an accountant, but is so busy I hate to ask her. And then there's that whole reinventing-the-wheel thing.

Thanks for the scoop on that-I will have to check it out. And yes, not only is AL loaded with calories, but it's empty toxic calories that get converted mostly into fat. I used to be a competitive cyclist (state champion) before my career as a champion daily drinker and now have 100 lbs to lose directly attributable to drinking.
Jimi, I'm not super keen about tracking consumption (or tracking anything for that matter) but I've that it has really helped me keep tabs on my progress. Since TSM can be such a rollercoaster I think it helps to be able to see the light end of the forest over the tall scary trees. Even if you ballparked it from week to week?
