Thanks St Vincent. I've been lucky enough in the past when I abruptly stopped drinking I didn't have any withdrawal symptoms (like when I got a DWI, blew .34 and went right into outpatient rehab the next day). I wasn't honest with them about how much or how often I was drinking so I wasn't flagged for medical detox. I'm paying close attention to my heart rate, blood pressure, etc. By the way, St. Jude--to me--was always the patron saint of hope (he's my name saint and my mom's alway sending me candles & mementos & prayers).

I love reading your posts joe12pack! I hope the higher dosage works for you. I'll light a St. Jude candle for you tonight ;)

Predictions were that this poll would be skewed against cured results as cured people tend to leave the board and go on with their new lives, but so far that has not been the case. I kind of doubt that Springer, Q, or any of those folks we haven't heard from for a while voted, so maybe we have more "quietly cured" here than we realize. If you have not voted please do so we can have a bigger sample.

I have some clinical trials and reviews from Eskapa, forwarded to me by another member. It is in PDF form and I'm not sure how to post it. If anyone here knows how to do this, please pm me.

OK, remember people: vote early and often 8-)

At first I thought, "why haven't we done this poll before?". Then I thought, "well, it couldn't be done until a significant amount of time had passed on this website". It is just over a year and a half of this forum's existence, so it looks like a good time for an unscientific poll. Great idea, Firebird!

The problem is Bob, most of us who are cured don't come around much anymore. :)

This is likely a good thing because AL just isn't a fixture in our lives any longer. The down side of this is that the newbies don't get to see how many us really have benefited from this treatment.

Pre TMS 45+ Finnish units; about 8 bottles of wine a week.

Started NAL in august 2009. Eleven months in this forum. TMS works. Definitely cured in 13 months. Patience is the key.

I'm on week 13, and I'm basically cured, but I want to leave it a while to make sure before I officially declare it (so I said I was doing it less than 6 months)
