Hello Everyone. I'm here to introduce myself! I found my way here from the My Way Out forum. I have the book My Way Out, the hypno CDs, the vitamins, kudzo - you get the picture. Now, I have Dr. Eskapa's book and also Dr. Ameisens book. So much research in trying to figure out what meds, what methods. Good back up plans.
I have chosen to start TSM once I head down to the U.S. for a winter vacation. I know I will have no trouble ordering the nal there. From what I can gather, the TSM may take months (I'm giving it 9) to take effect. I chose TSM because of the theory behind it. It seems that I have become a drinker from years and years of habit - I have taken the cow path and turned it into a super freeway. I may have consumed much more at times in my life due to stress or mild depression but I became a drinker because that's what we all did back in the day and I just kept it up (and I do it quite well if I may say so). Dr. A's theory is that the drinking has an underlying cause of anxiety/depression and that the bac works on that and the drinking. I don't have anxiety and don't really feel I have serious depression so TSM seems to make more sense. RJs theory is that with meds and supplements and CDs, you can become a moderate drinker BUT the CDs are brutal and time consuming, I can't seem to force all the supplements and the side effects for her Topa (hair falling out, etc.) and the possible effects of bac (somnolence, etc.) are the last way to go for me.
I haven't tracked my units yet but think they are around 40 U.S. My DREAM would be to have 2-3 drinks max. at one sitting and 1 AF day would be glorious. Haven't had one of those in what seems to be a million years. I think I was 5
I am blessed. I have had many bad bad bad bad days on alcohol but it seems that I have not gotten worse over the years. I just coast on where I am now. So enough is enough.
It is amazing to me that there are so many of us out there. Happy to be part of your journey. I'm looking forward to sharing mine with all of you. Also check out the My Way Out Forum for other interesting information. They have TSM posts as well.
