Hi all.

I started on NAL last night after my trip yesterday to Dr Josh Berkowits in London. He's a lovely man, really friendly and comforting.

FYI, I am a functioning heavy drinker. I only drink in the evenings and stick to wine - but boy do I put away a lot of it!

My hope is that this journey is going to enable me to get back my self-control and my self-respect. We'll see...

L

Hi LoobyLou,

A very warm welcome to our community - from another Brit.

Best wishes as you begin your TSM voyage of discovery!

V.

P.S. Seeing your user name immediately takes me back to my very early childhood with Andy Pandy but his friend was Looby Loo i.e. different spelling. Still, it's pretty close!

Hi L, lovely to see another new face on here to join us on our TSM journey :)

And another UKer!! - it seems more and more of us are discovering TSM at long last, though it's still only the very tip of the iceberg...

I'm on week 12 now, and have found tremendous encouragement and insight from reading about the journeys of many other members on here, I'm sure you will too.

All the best, looking forward to seeing you around :)

P.S. Virgil - Andy Pandy, yes - what a blast from the past!

Welcome LoobyLou :D It's wonderful that you found us read as many threads here as you can so you'll know about the journey you'll be on, it's a little rocky at times but the end is worth it.

Hope to hear from you soon and good luck.

Welcome aboard. As nick will remind and as I will, add patience to the equation. You'll see that per your study of the posts.
My experience is that this is great. I getting my life back. Just wish I had started this 15 years ago, when I got my first DUI. Wish counselors knew of it then. Of course, maybe they did cuz we know they do now and still rob people of this miracle. Better stop before I start steaming.
