Now I can go enjoy a tasty micro brew or glass of wine but I am not interested in the buzz. Its a very strange thing!

This is so what I need! I like sipping nice whiskeys and wines, trying stuff at the many festivals we have here in the summer, but a couple nice glasses becomes chugging a bottle of bottom shelf stuff. If i could really enjoy a drink without it throwing my inner booze rat into overdrive on the little level, that would be such a weight off my shoulders.

Alcohol affected all those activities for me, and removing the alcohol meant I could enjoy life more than the endorphin blocking.

This is a great point too. How great can anything I'm doing outside of drinking be when I can do it well or (more often) don't remember having done it. It's clearly better to have 75% fun at something you remember and are engaged in doing than having 100% fun and not being able to be present to enjoy that fun.

Jackson, I was really afraid of the endorphin blocking too. I am in my 6th week, and I haven't noticed it affecting any activity other than drinking AT ALL. My sex life is great and feelings about that not changed at all, the same with exercise. To the extent I have bad days or depression, I can track them all to the alcohol I am still drinking while I wait to see if this works for me. But I can definitely relate, I had all the same fears you do, but I figured, hey, what do I have to lose? Probably if it had affected those other activities I might have stopped taking it, but I would never have known unless i tried, right? Either was it seemed there was very little downside. I was also afraid of nausea as I HATE HATE HATE that, but, I started slowly (2 days of 25 mg), and had no nausea at all. So, the bottom line is just that we are all different. Good luck to you.
